Ducati is one of the leading Italian motorcycle manufacturers. You are one of the other 2 motorcycle pioneers, Harley-Davidson and BMW. Since 1970, Ducati has always produced motorcycles with L-Twin engines with dysmodromic valve timing and trellis frames. Ducati is a subsidiary of the FIAT Group (owned by the Agnelli family conglomerate), which also owns Juventus, Ferrari and Maserati.
Ducati has won many races such as Superbike World Championship , MotoGP , Supersport Championship and many more. In fact, they've won more Superbike World Championship races than anyone else, 250 races to be exact and 12 Superbike World Championship titles.
Ducati showed the world that Japanese bikes could be faster than the inline-4 engines with the L-Twin engine. Despite the same displacement, a car with more cylinders is usually more powerful. The engine of the Honda CBR 1000RR , for example, easily achieves 200 hp, while the Ducati 999 F06 only achieves 194 hp, although both have a displacement of 1000 cc. However, remember that a bike with fewer cylinders is lighter and can go faster than a bike with a more airy and powerful engine.
