New KIA Picanto

JAKARTA - Korean automaker PT KIA Mobil Indonesia will introduce the latest version of its flagship KIA Picanto this year. The new Kia Picanto has an all-new engine that delivers increased power.

" This year we will introduce the new Kia Picanto. It's not a facelift, it's just a new Picanto," PT KIA Mobil Indonesia Marketing Manager Hartanto Sukmono said in Senayan Jakarta on Wednesday (26.01.2011).

As for the Pakunya Galley, the 1,100cc engine currently featured in the Picanto will be launched alongside the 1.2-litre petrol engine.

“We actually have two new engine options, a 1.0 and a 1.2, but we're going with the 1.2-litre. The volume is 1250 cm.

MCH itself launched this new product in Korea and it will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011.

Starting with the cabin, Kia's flagship comes with 4 engine options ranging from 1000cc to the economical 1200cc.

Also, these latest generation vehicles are available that can run not only on gasoline, but also on bi-fuel (both types of fuel: LPG and gasoline) and flex-fuel (only gasoline or a mixture of other fuels).

“We will bring 1200cc of gasoline. After that the 2nd semester schedule. If we want at IIMS (Indonesian International Motor Show),” he said.
