Unlike most of its current stablemates, the new Project Icon car is expected to ditch aluminum for a strong and reliable steel body, borrowed from the soon-to-be-replaced Discovery and Range Rover Sport models, reports Autocar. News of a possible 2013 date comes from a report released today by the Detroit Free Press.

Like its predecessors, the Project Icon truck is built in a precise format with a variety of missions, and while initially built only in the UK, there are plans to ship it to China, Russia, India and elsewhere in disassembled, final assembly form on the Road.
