2011 Nissan March New Model

Nissan unveiled its new global compact car in Geneva. In Europe, this car will replace the popular entry-level Micra, which we didn't get here. This car will go on sale in Japan from March. This is the first model built on the company's new V platform. Therefore, the current Micra/Mart V lighting platform should offer better performance and fuel economy.

Something in Japanese society is building new cars. The Micra/Mars has been assembled at Nissan's Japanese plants since its launch, but this new car will be built at Nissan's Thailand plant.

"You have nothing to worry about," says someone from Nissan. "Here in Japan they sell cars made in Thailand and there's no problem with that."

The new entry-level Nissan will be powered by a 95-horsepower 1.2-liter inline-4 engine mated to a CVT transmission. The new Micra/Mars should be relatively fast as the car should weigh around 2100lbs. The car will be presented in the form of a five-door hatchback, a hatchback version may appear later.

Variants from Europe will receive an engine derivative called HR12DDR. It is a supercharged direct injection Miller cycle engine that automatically shuts down at low revs to save fuel.
